Cheltzisms

Update: after laughing so hard about what she said and telling my mom about it. Cheltzi told me she actually said BAD guys, not FAT guys....

Cheltzi: What are we watching, daddy?

Daddy: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Cheltzi: Oh, does it have fat guys in it?

Where does she come up with these things? She cracks me up!

We went to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for some Memorial Day fun. They have a new (since the last time we went) attraction called 4-D Theater. We watch Snow Ride and Haunted Mine. The seats move around and it makes you feel like you are actually in the action. In the Haunted Mine show you run into a box of dynamite and there are sparks and fire everywhere. Cheltzi was trying to explain this to my mom and at first I had no idea what she was talking about. Once I finally caught on I said, "No, Cheltzi not fireworks. It's called dynamite." She was still talking to my mom so she said, "Oh no, Nana, it was dynafiremite." I laughed so hard it took me a while to stop.

Happy Mother's Day

These two are the reason I am able to celebrate Mother's Day. Cheltzi and Dominik are truly a blessing to me. I thank my Father in Heaven every single day for them.

It's Coming Together...

I don't know if I can take a video from Fox 13 and post it here, so I'm just going to post the link for the video. The home invasion that happened while I was in Utah was gang related. It was a White Supremacist gang.

Something You Never Want To Get Woken Up By

First of all I am in Utah again. Just for a fun little surprise visit. We were only going to stay one night, but my mom and dad talked me into staying through my mom's days off so she could have more lovin' time with Cheltzi and Dominik. We had so much fun and I once again forgot my camera. On Saturday I was able to see one of my very good friends who I haven't seen since we moved last June. It was so fun. Home Depot has a kids day the first Saturday of every month. We joined my friend Erin, her fiance Dave, and her girls Caity and Heather and we put together wheelbarrow planters for Mother's Day. You should have seen Cheltzi and I trying to hammer together. We put it together wrong several times, oh you should have seen us. With a little bit of help from Dave we figured it out and it turned out really fun. Cheltzi even picked a flower for it. Oh the Best part of the whole thing is we only had to pay for the plant! It was completely free. She got an orange apron, a pin, and a certificate. I am going to see if the Home Depot (if there is one) in Grand Junction does it too. It was so fun and I think Kevin would have a blast taking Cheltzi to do these little projects. Next we moved on to Walmart. Lego's sent 200 lego flowerpot kits to my mom's walmart. It was also FREE! Cheltzi was so excited because her Nana was helping with the projects and she got to help her. The rest of Saturday was pretty uneventful. Sunday I was able to go up to Tremonton and visit my Nana. I loved it. I even called one of my Aunties to come over for a visit. I have some pretty amazing women in my family. Nana is right up at the top. I love her so much. On Monday my mom took me to some fabulous fabric/quilt shops. Oh how I hate not having money. There were a few patterns I wanted to get so i could make some wall hangings for my new house. Oh yeah! We moved!! We are still in Colorado, we just moved into a house that we have the option to buy. We are thinking very seriously about it. Anyways after the quilt stores we had to run to Walmart because I needed some medicine for my throat. I could barely talk. After Walmart we went to Gardner Village and I got so many fun and cute ideas for Chetlzi's room. I am so excited to get started on it. The ideas I got are going to be so easy and so much cheaper if I do it all myself. I can hardly contain myself. The kids got ornery so we went back home for a nap. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. I made a delicious dinner and we went to bed fairly early because mom had to work today (Tuesday).

So that brings us to early this morning. VERY EARLY! A little bit after 1:30 a,m. my dad came in the living room to turn of the computer and the t.v. and it kind of woke me up. I was just about asleep and I heard a really loud pop, pop, pop, pop. I wen running into my parents room and both of them were awake. I was shaking because it startled me so bad. My dad said he was laying in bed and he heard a gunshot, a girl scream and a guy go running so he called 911. By the time I woke up and heard more gunshots Midvale Police, Sandy Police, SWAT, Gang Unit, and CSI were all over the place. There were quite a few more gunshots. Then we heard a big bang. My dad said it was either a shotgun or maybe a smoke bomb thing. Then we heard and felt a huge boom we thought maybe it was a flash bang, but this morning we found out they blew a door off a garage. The story the news is saying doesn't really make sense to me because there were so many gunshots. Apparently some people were in their apartment playing video games and at about 1:30 a.m. Some people came to the door. (First mistake the tenants made: Opening the door in the middle of the night HELLO!) A guy opened the door and noticed that the people at the door had guns so he tried to shut the door on him and he got stabbed in the hand. The intruders got into the apartment and made the tenants go into the back room of the apartment. One of the guys started beating up a girl so her boyfriend jumped in to defend her and somehow he got the gun and shot the guy. He died. The rest of the people (bad guys) ran away. The last I heard they hadn't identified the guy that died. They had the Gang Unit in there trying to identify tattoos. One of the witnesses said he saw someone go into a garage. I guess that's when they blew up the door. It was so crazy and I am so ready to go home to my quiet little community. Go to
Fox 13 or KSL. The last time I was on either website KSL had more to say about it than Fox. It was just super scary and something I hope I never have to witness again.
