Finding a job, house, and going to school.

I have been putting in applications. That is not an easy task. Especially where I haven't worked in over 6 years and my experience before that was minimal. I obviously can't find a place to live without having a job. For the time being we are staying with my awesome cousin and her family. They have been so wonderful to me.


As far as school goes. I found out that I qualify for a pell grant. I will be going into the college tomorrow to apply. I was going to do that today, but I am so exhausted from everything that has been going on the last couple of weeks I decided to take the day off and kinda chill. I am hoping to start fresh tomorrow.


If I can figure out how I will see about getting updated pictures of the kids up. They have grown so much. Cheltzi is turning into such a little lady. And Nik is just hilarious as always.

OUR NEW LIFE

Life has been completely hecktic to say the least. I am going to be working on some changes to the blog. I'm not sure how to go about doing it. Kevin and I are getting divorced and I'm not sure if I should just leave the old posts because there are some precious memories. Or should I start fresh? Let me know what you all think.

We moved

For those of you who don't know. We had to move back to Utah. We felt like it was the right decision for our family, but I was having a really hard time because I fell in love with Colorado. I knew that we needed to move, but I was making the decision very difficult for Kevin. Until we got notice that the people who own the lot we lived on was taking over the house because our landlords didn't pay the lot rent. We had to get out in a hurry. Thankfully the Elder's Quorum and a couple of ladies from Relief Society came and helped us pack up and get everything loaded into the truck.

I am really sad because Cheltzi LOVED her school and we can't find one here. Here is a picture of her with her Teacher, Mrs. J and the T.A. Ms. C.

We took a little trip to Aspen on Tuesday. It was pretty fun. We chatted, drove, napped (well the kids slept on the way there and I slept on the way back. Kevin drove haha!), walked, and played. I even played and about broke my nose.

Apple Orchard, Cheltzi's First Field Trip

Today was Cheltzi's first school field trip. It was SOOOO cold this morning. Cheltzi had on a jacket and a coat when we got to school, but when we went back to the school to follow the bus she only had her jacket on. Her teacher didn't know she had a coat to put on also. Mommy came to the rescue though. I gave her the hoodie that I had on.

In light of recent events, Kevin decided to come with us. So Kevin, Dominik, and I followed the school bus to the orchard.

My Poor Girl

We had to go to Glenwood Springs today to get my CO driver's liscense. Since Kevin now works in Glenwood and we only have one car at the moment the kids and I got up early and took Kevin to work. We came back home and I took Cheltzi straight to school. She was a little bit late, but she got there. She had a little accident on the slide. She has a scuff under her right eye. Since she has such a rotten time I took her to Family Dollar and let her pick a little surprise and a treat. We went to Glenwood and sat FOREVER waiting until it was my turn. We got done and had to run to a restroom. Dominik had spilled some milk and needs new pants anyways so I bought him some from K-mart. They fit him really wierd. But anyways, we got a snack and left the mall. Kevin hadn't had lunch so we went and got him something to eat. The kids had fallen asleep so I decided to go get gas and then just go to the park and wait for them to wake up so we could play. Cheltzi woke up and I took her out to play. Nik was alseep the entire time. We swung for quite a while then she wanted to go on the slide. She climbed up a cool little thing that was supposed to be like a rock wall. It was probably about 7 or 8 feet to the the platform. She did it once and did just great. She went down the slide and wanted to do it again. I said that was fine and I waited at the end of the slide for her. All of a sudden I hear her scream. I looked over and she was falling! I felt so bad. She didn't move until I got to her. I rolled her over and I could tell she was in pain and she had knocked the wind out of herself. I got her to settle down so she could start breathing normally and I scooped her up and took her to the car. I called my dad to see what I should check for. Cheltzi just cried and screamed the whole time so I decided to take her into the ER just to make sure. We were there for a very long time before the doctor was able to come and see us. Cheltzi had settled down, but was so sore and hurting that she just couldn't quit moving. The doctor finally came in after more than 2 hours of us waiting. GAH!!! For some reason she has a fever. The last time we took it, it was at 102. I don't know if she had a fever before she fell, but she hadn't been acting sick at all. She says her belly hurts really bad so I am watching her close tonight to see how she does. She has already woken up wimpering once. Luckily nothing is broken that the dr. could tell. I am going to keep her home from school because of her fever and I'm sure she's going to be really sore. I feel so bad for her.

Where were you?

On Sept 11, 2001 I had just gotten off of work and was laying down in my mom and dad's room relaxing before I fell asleep. My mom came home from taking my little brother to school. And we watched the second plane crash into the South Tower. It was very surreal. I remember watching the news every chance I could get. Here is a video I found from www.lds.org. World Suicide Prevention Day.

First Day of School

Cheltzi has started pre-k. The first day went very well. She barely gave me a kiss goodbye, though. It was a little sad, but not surprising. It didn't really hit me that she is in school until I went to pick her up and saw her on the playground with all of her classmates. She told me that someone called her a "poop head" after she called them "Sharpay". I told her that maybe she shouldn't call people other names because they may not know what she is talking about. She was also a little upset that they didn't do any writing. She is really anxious to start writing. I think it's cute. Here are some pictures of her first day.

Not in the Blogging Mood

I have not been in the blogging mood. I have tons of pictures to share, but I just don't have it in me to post them right now. I am going to be visiting family in Utah for the next few weeks. When I get back I will write up a few update posts. Sorry I have been so out of touch lately. I am still planning on doing my contest so feel free to comment.

My girl is growing up.

Cheltzi was asked to do the scripture and prayer during closing exercises in primary. The scripture was from the Book of Mormon. Mosiah 4:15 But ye will teach then to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another, and to serve one another. She was not nervous at all being in front of all the kids and teachers. I was so proud of her.

21. I LOVE Billy Ray Cyrus. I have since I was in middle school. My mom let me stay up late one night so I could watch a special on TV. MMM Baby! I watch Hannah Montana just for him.

23. Kevin's favorite memory of us dating is when we took a ride to Idaho Falls for my cousin's baby's blessing. It was when he told me that he wanted to marry me. Up to this point of our relationship he NEVER wanted to marry anyone.

26. I am the middle child. I have one older brother and one younger brother.

39. We have one dog (Max) and one cat (Sunshine).

40. Sunshine is named after a puppy I had that died.

100th Post Ideas

I am almost to my 100th post. I need some ideas here. Now that I have a few more bloggy buddies I want to do something super fun, but I don't know what to do. Do I have a give-a-way (something hand made by me), Do I just do a "100 Random things about me" type of a post. These are just a couple of idea that I have. If anyone else has a great plan or something they did that was fun please let me know. I am so stumped here.

This One is For My Cheltzi

Cheltzi has been spending the week with my mom and dad. While she's been gone I'm trying to get her room all put together so she can come home to something special. My sister in law, Jessica came to help me yesterday. We got the bed put together and the vinyl lettering put up. I can't find her quilt cover, but as soon as I do and finish getting her room totally done I will post pictures of her entire room.
